ABOUT US
Every spring, the National Peanut Festival Fairgrounds are taken over by thousands of 8th-grade students from Alabama, Georgia, and Florida for three consecutive days.
Southeast Alabama Works will be hosting the sixth annual Southeast Worlds of Work Career Experience; formerly Wiregrass WORKS. This event will host approximately 6,000 8th grade students from Barbour, Butler, Coffee, Covington, Crenshaw, Dale, Geneva, Henry, Houston, and Pike counties from Alabama. Early, Miller and Seminole counties from Georgia along with Jackson, Holmes, and Washington counties from Florida.
Students will take part in a fun, educational, and unforgettable hands-on experience! The expo is a way for students to become familiar with a broad overview of high demand, high wage career opportunities available in the region. It is also designed to create awareness about exciting career options among students and educators that address the current workforce needs in this region.
Investment opportunities positions will be available for the event. Southeast Worlds of Work is also looking for business and industry leaders in all eleven worlds of work.
